They hit the limit last month and since then Jennifer and Magudo, 52 have been supervising the distribution of all the supplies as well as the building of the new school.

The first floor classroom will be used by the older children, ages 12-16. The ground floor houses the administration office and the classroom for 6-11 year olds. Two teachers and one assistant will be join the school. Completion is due in two months and there will an official opening ceremony.

In addition to this achievement,Jennifer and Magudo raised enough funds to begin building a small water treatingcenter. A fresh drinking water pipe will be routed to a core pump in the middle of the village. It will then branch off and split in four village locations.

Also purchased were medicines, vaccines and new vital equipment for the small local hospital. The head doctor at regional facility said “It is with great thanks to Jennifer and Magudo that we now have the supplies we treasure. Every little bit of help will mean that we can save more lives, protect more children from disease and perform emergency surgery without having to transport people to the closest town—which is twenty-eight miles away. This helps us to support and help out local community far easier than before. We will always be grateful to them for everything they do.”

Surgical masks, scrub clothes, scalpels, syringes, anaesthetic and other supplies were also brought in.

Clothes designer Cecilia Douglas Abubakar has had some early success through her original work. Born and raised in France, she is 28 years old and now resides in the UK in Clapham located in South West London.

Her move to Britain has also rewarded her with a beautiful husband and young child who is now three years old. Cecilia met her husband to be several years ago and married him in a small ceremony in 2007.

Cecilia’s other half comes from South Africa and currently is in employment at a prominent bank situated in one of London’s most well-known business centres in Canary Wharf. He has progressed up the ranks over the last number of years and is extremely supportive of his wife’s ventures.

Meanwhile Cecilia is a lady who knows what she wants to achieve. She has great passion in her current fashion course which she is undertaking in Central London.

She is a testament to the modern working mother by successfully juggling both her work and raising her child simultaneously. Cecilia has learnt a lot from her course and this will hopefully set her up in the long term as she attempts to become a name in the fashion industry.

Yet the work and life balance is carefully broken up by regular visits to their holiday home back in her husband’s native South Africa.

With blackberries fully switched off (or on silent at least!) for the duration, Cecilia allows herself the rare opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy lots of strolls along the white sandy coastline with her husband and child in tow whilst drawing inspiration from the outstanding South African backdrop.

Cecilia’s creations are gaining some more recognition thanks to brief mentions in a few local newspapers as well as having a small feature article on her work in a popular French women’s lifestyle magazine back in France.
